Our mission
Splash Ahead offers complimentary swim instruction for children of all ages, equipping them with essential water-safety skills designed to prevent drowning and save lives. Our program goes beyond teaching swimming techniques; we strive to build meaningful relationships with our young learners, creating an environment of confidence and trust.
Our approach not only teaches children how to swim but also fosters a deep understanding and respect for the water. By instilling a sense of trust and security, we encourage children to safely enjoy water-based activities. This supportive atmosphere allows children to thrive, making them more receptive to learning, and more comfortable in the water.
At Splash Ahead, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn to swim in a safe and nurturing environment, gaining the skills necessary for a lifetime of aquatic enjoyment and safety. Splash Ahead has provided free swim instruction for over 250 children.
Water Safety Brochures
In May 2025, Splash Ahead partnered with Baltimore Hunger Project in honor of Drowning Prevention Month. Splash Ahead created brochures containing critical drowning information on water safety and drowning prevention skills. Also included in the brochure is a QR code to sign up for swim lessons, free of charge! Baltimore Hunger Project kindly agreed to include these brochures in their food packages that were sent out to 2,000 children in Baltimore City just in time for the summer!
Awards Ceremony
After two extremely successful years, we held an awards ceremony to recognize a few children whose dedication, progress, and attitudes stood out. Certificates and goggles were presented to those who won an award. Thank you to all of our incredible swimmers. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed!
